Does Solo POS charge a monthly fee?
No. Solo POS has no monthly fee and no subscription, and there is nothing in the app today behind a paywall. If you have seen a monthly price quoted in Indonesian rupiah, that belongs to solopos.com, an unrelated news publisher in Indonesia with a similar name. It is not this app.
Can Solo POS replace KiotViet or Sapo?
For a one-person shop, usually yes: selling, stock, cost prices, customers, cash book, profit reports and household-business tax paperwork are all covered, at 0đ instead of a monthly plan. Choose KiotViet or Sapo when you need staff accounts and permissions, multi-branch cloud sync across devices, or deep e-commerce channel integration, which are cloud problems Solo POS deliberately does not solve.
Can I keep selling when the internet is down?
Yes. Solo POS is offline-first, not offline-tolerant: the database is on the phone, so checkout, stock updates, the cash book and every report work with the signal off and stay correct. Cloud POS platforms need a connection to sync and to show you reports.
Does Solo POS support more than one store?
Yes, and it is free. One phone can hold several shops, each with its own separate books. Stock, sales, cash and reports never mix, and you switch shops inside the app. On subscription platforms an extra branch normally means an extra charge.
Can Solo POS produce household-business tax paperwork?
Yes. It generates the household-business (hộ kinh doanh) tax forms as A4 PDFs from the sales already in the app, offline, so you can file them yourself. It can also push draft e-invoices to MISA meInvoice if you connect an account. The app does not file on your behalf.
Do I need a POS terminal, a scanner or a receipt printer?
No. A phone is the whole till: the camera scans barcodes and the receipt can be shown or sent. You can add hardware later if your shop wants printed receipts, but nothing is required to start.
Is my shop data sent anywhere?
No. Products, sales, customers, stock and cash entries stay in a database on your device and are never uploaded to us. Only the optional AI assistant sends anything off the phone (your question plus the specific figures it asked for), and only while you are using it.
